How to use the soundboard
Click or tap any button to play it. Tap it again while it is still playing and a second copy starts on top, which is handy for rapid-fire effects. Every button shows its hotkey in the corner: press 1 to 9 and Q to P to play without touching the mouse, and press Space to stop everything.
Use the chips to filter by category, or type a word such as horn or buzzer into the search box. The star under each button saves a favourite on this device, the arrow downloads that sound as an MP3, and the link icon opens the sound's own page.
Sounds for quizzes, classrooms, streams and parties
People mostly want quick buttons for a purpose, so the library is grouped that way: game show sound effects for quiz nights, a classroom soundboard with big projector-friendly buttons, funny sound effects that are safe for kids, 8-bit sound effects for retro games and alarm sounds for timers and alerts. If you are recording or broadcasting, read the stream soundboard guide.
Original sounds, free to reuse
Every sound here is generated by our own code from oscillators, envelopes and filtered noise. None of it is recorded from a film, show, game or someone else's clip, so there is nothing to credit and nothing to clear. That also means you will not find famous meme clips here: those belong to someone else. To play a clip you own, load it into your own soundboard; it stays on your device.
